The race as a whole was not overly entertaining. Red bull is dominant, and if we take what George Russell has to say about it this season, it is wrapped: and Red Bull should win every race. The car looks unreal, and Max looks to be on top of his game. Perez keeping a good pace Red Bull should have this season on lock if other teams cannot catch up in the development race.

We had some good battles in the middle field. We saw Lewis and Alonso getting back after it, which was fantastic to see. The Aston Martin looks very fast as we see with Alonso’s race pace compared to Max (excluding the part where his teammate almost took him out.) Speaking of Aston Martin, Stroll had a good weekend fishing p6 with two pins in his wrist and a fractured big toe on his right foot.

Ferrari struggled with high tire degradation once again, along with Leclerc having energy store and control electronics issues the same parts that were replaced prior to the race causing him to DNF on lap 40. He has now gone through 2/2. Any more and he will end up with a 10-place grid penalty. Carlos Sainz had a solid race ending in p4. He came on the radio to say if he fights any harder his tires will give out. This goes to show (once again) the high tire degradation that Ferrari is struggling with. Granite Bahrain is known for eating up tires, which makes Red Bull and their lack of tire degradation even more impressive.

The next notable team was McLaren- notable not for the right reasons. They had to retire Pastries car after lap 13, and Lando had to come into pits 6 times well dealing with pu issue he ended up finishing in 17th(last). This is a far cry from where they were last year. Hopefully, they can turn it around.
The final performance I would like to point out is Logan Sargeant (Captain America) and Alex Albon at Williams having finished p10 and p12, respectively. Sargent was outpacing Albon at times, which was very impressive for a rookie. As you can see below Sargent was either same pace or faster than Albon. Very impressive first race for Sargeant; it will be interesting to see how the rest of the season turns out for him.
On Max’s first run in q1, he came out on a set of softs and set a 91.295-second lap which was .510 seconds faster than what he did last year for his fastest lap in q1. Their second run in q1 stopped early because they were into q2.
Coming out in q2, Red Bull and Max came out on brand new soft tires for their first run, and he set a 90.503-second lap for his first run. Both Red Bulls did not end up coming back out for a second run. In q2 he ends up being .221 seconds off of Leclerc who set the fastest lap in q2 with a 90.282-second lap.
